This past month we made a donation to St. Edward's School for their land-based education program.  The cheque for $1350.00 will help support a number of children in this special program designed to reconnect children with the land and creation and is both culturally and academically important.  St. Edward's School believes that by connecting people, especially youth, to the land, they cultivate a deep respect for nature, traditional knowledge and sustainable practices.  Through land-based learning, students gain hands-on experiences that deepen their understating of nature, traditional knowledge and environmental stewardship.  With this donation St. Edwards has been able to provide opportunities such as outdoor classrooms, ecological studies at Eagle Creek and Batoche in the past and traditional teachings with Knowledge Keepers.

In addition to the above donation, the club donated $450 towards the purchase of the sausages for a BBQ held at St. Edwards for students and staff.
